Public Lecture: Ancient Plant Use in SE NM

Subject: Public Presentation in Artesia, Carlsbad, and Roswell on Ancient Plant Use in SE NM

Dr. William Whitehead will discuss the most common plants found in the Bureau of Land Management, Carlsbad Field Office region and present their uses by the native peoples of Southeastern New Mexico, both archaeologically and historically.  Dr. Whitehead of SWCA, Inc.,has a forthcoming book, coauthored by Conner Flynn, providing information on plant use.  The times and places are listed below:
