An Overview of Scientific Inventory, Monitoring and Research on the Valles Caldera National Preserve

The Santa Fe Chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Mexico presents a free talk at Christ Lutheran Church on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 6:30 pm by Dr. Robert Parmenter entitled:”An Overview of Scientific Inventory, Monitoring and Research on the Valles Caldera National Preserve.”
Bob Parmenter is the Chief of Science & Resource Stewardship for the National Park Service’s Valles Caldera National Preserve in northern New Mexico, and is responsible for organizing and coordinating the scientific research, inventory and monitoring programs on the Valles Caldera National Preserve.   These programs include long term studies in meteorology, hydrology, geology, forest and grassland restoration and management, wildlife and fisheries ecology, pest and beneficial insects, fire ecology and management, biodiversity, and archaeology.
The meeting will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, @ 1701 Arroyo Chamiso, located in the triangle of Old Pecos Trail, St Michael’s Drive and Arroyo Chamiso.
