February 15 “Design your Backyard Refuge” Workshop and Lab

Spend a Saturday learning from experts about the elements of a backyard refuge for birds, beneficial insects and other friendly wildlife, the steps for creating one and getting it certified. An optional design lab (limited to 30 participants) follows in which participants will sit with professional landscape planners and draft plans for transforming a special piece of their own property.

This important event will take place at the UNM Continuing Education facility, 1634 University Blvd NE, Albuquerque. Attendance will be limited, and details about registration can be found HERE.

The Friends of the Vale de Oro National Wildlife Refuge are offering some scholarships for folks who live near the refuge or in the International District and cannot afford the workshop fee. Find out if you qualify by visiting: http://bit.ly/ABQBYRScholarship
