May 16 (Tentative) field trip: Tohajiilee Hoodoo Village. George Miller, trip leader

Just 40 miles west of Albq, a BLM inholding surrounded by the Navajo Nation, harbors majestic red rock formations, hoodoos, desert views, and maybe even a host of wildflowers. We’ll explore the area mostly by cow trails and cross-country hiking over level but uneven terrain. The loop is about 4.5 miles long in open sun. Wear good boots, sun protection, and bring plenty of water and lunch. Meet at 8 am at meeting place “B,” NE corner of Wal-Mart parking lot on the east side of Coors and Ouray about 0.25 miles north of I-40.
