Akasha Faist is an Assistant Professor of Rangeland Restoration Ecology in the department of Animal and Range Sciences at New Mexico State University. Her research lab examines a variety of different restoration actions focused on identifying and overcoming barriers to restoration success. For this presentation Dr. Faist will discuss the ecology of soil seed banks and illustrate how they may be effectively used in ecological restoration efforts.
