Meet at 9:00 am at the Soledad/Bar Canyon Trailhead at the east end of Soledad Canyon Road.
Easy to moderately difficult walk on maintained trail.
Loop is less than 3 miles.
The elevation gain from trailhead to waterfall is about 650 feet.
Duration – less than 3 hours. No restroom facilities.
Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, hat, and wear good hiking shoes.
Soledad/Bar Canyon will offer more color than either Tortugas or Picacho Peak. There’s a stunning red flowering agave just off the Soledad trail at about the 1/2-way point. Other agaves as well as a number of sotols have put up stalks and started flowering. Red barberry shrubs are likely in bloom as well.
