Wednesday, July 1 meeting. 7:00 PM: “Neighborhood Invasion, the Good Kind.” Terry Dettweiler shares how Pollinators in the Neighborhood” grew rapidly from a notion into a citywide campaign.
Terry, an artist and long-time home owner, loved walking her neighborhood, but gradually saw how impoverished the landscape had become. Lacking natural beauty and variety, it was absent the fascinating pollinators that once flourished. She will share with us how a brainstorm snowballed into a funded and a well-organized effort refreshing one neighborhood after another with a dose of nature’s magic. She will also give us recommendations about pleasing pollinators around the seasons.
