June 3, 2026. Monthly meeting with presentation by chapter member Paul Cross: “Native Plant Restoration Species for Pollinators in Taos.” 6:00 PM
Paul will describe some of the native plants that were propagated and planted in 2025 at several sites in Taos County. Species were selected for pollinator support. Seeds were collected from their natural habitat to create a diverse genetic pool. Learn about these native wildflowers and how to grow them yourself.
Paul started Charybda Farms in 1997. He developed a dryland greenhouse system that grew plants and produce using rainwater harvested on-site. Initially he grew organic herb and vegetable starts sold at farmers markets. He soon became an important supplier to Whole Foods Makets, La Montanita Coop, and independent garden centers. He transitioned to producing mainly native plants in 2023.
