Wednesday, March 4 – Taos chapter meeting and program,  6:00 – 7:30 PM in the Board room of the Kit Carson Electric Coop, 118 Cruz Alta, Taos.

Seeding Leadership:   The Rivers & Birds ‘Adventures in Stewardship’ program takes kids to help restore a riparian corridor with support from NPSNM.

Thanks to a $2,000 grant from NPSNM, Rivers & Birds will take third grade classes on educational field trips to learn about wetland and riparian ecosystems and help seed a riparian zone with native grasses in 2026. This project is part of Rivers & Birds’ multi-year ‘Adventures in Stewardship’  program, in which third, fourth and fifth grade classes from Taos, Questa, Taos Pueblo, and Peñasco public schools learn about different aspects of their local ecosystems and participate in hands-on environmental stewardship.
