August 9, Saturday – Santa Fe Ski Basin. Enjoy cool mountain air, walking along a stream and lower meadows, with an optional walk part way up a ski slope. We can expect to find some flowers typically not seen in the Sandia forests, such as Bog Orchid, Elephant Head, Monk’s Hood, and Willowherb. Meet at Far North Shopping Center (San Mateo Blvd. & Academy Road), behind the Wienerschnitzel and Republiq gym, at 7:30 a.m. Bring lunch, water and rain gear.
