Donate to the Carter Fund
The Jack and Martha Carter Conservation Fund works to protect our small part of planet Earth for future generations.
The Jack & Martha Carter Conservation Fund allows the Native Plant Society of New Mexico to award conservation, restoration, research, and educational grants and donations to individuals and organizations in support of our mission. Through this dedicated fund, we have the potential to make a difference in conserving vanishing habitat, reducing basic threats to our flora, adding scientific knowledge, and imparting to our youth an understanding of and appreciation for native plants. We invite you to join this effort on behalf of New Mexico’s natural history and heritage.
Due to your generosity over the years, we have funded a wide variety of projects that support our goals. We contribute yearly to the operations of five regional herbaria which curate and maintain the thousands of plant specimens that archive the botanical history of the Southwest. We also award a Conservation Champion annually and a Science Teacher of the Year when there is a suitable applicant.
