Thanks to all who helped make the 2022 Native Plant Society of New Mexico Annual Conference a great, educational, and most enjoyable success!

“A Land Ethic for Seven Generations”

was inspired by an age-old Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) philosophy and honored the 20th Century thoughts of Aldo Leopold. With climate change and a legacy of ecosystem abuses clearly coming home to roost, our speakers and activities offered multiple perspectives on the ecology of New Mexico and beyond to broaden the conversation, understand recent findings, and present the ways people are taking action through research, education, art, restoration, and conservation.

The conference next year, organized by our El Paso chapter, will be a "whole different animal." Immersing us in the unique environment of the Chihuahuan Desert, and probably of a smaller scale than recent annual NPSNM meetings, it will be held in early autumn. Watch for specific information in 2023 so as not to lose an opportunity to take part in this special experience.

The August, 2022 program and schedule are still here for your information.

Thanks to everyone for the great response.
