The Albuquerque chapter is hosting a field trip on April 27 to the bosque of Santa Ana Pueblo, led by Nathan Schroeder. Meet at 8:15 AM at Savers parking lot (Carlisle and Menaul, SW corner near trees, otherwise known as Meeting Place A) for carpooling, or go directly to the Hyatt Tamaya Spa and Resort parking lot at 9 AM.
Nathan Schroeder, Restoration Division Manager for Santa Ana, will lead a tour of the bosque highlighting some of the past ecological projects. We will begin at the Hyatt parking lot and walk through some of the Pueblo’s first projects within a grassland buffer to the bosque. He will discuss some of the techniques used in management of the tribal natural resources. Throughout the tour, Nathan will discuss the successes and setbacks of this work and challenges for the future.
All our field trips are free and open to the public. Please join us and bring a friend!
