Fire Induced Changes to Native Plants, Process, and Ecosystems in SW Dry-Conifer Forests

The Santa Fe Chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Mexico presents a free talk at Christ Lutheran Church by Collin Haffey.
Collin Haffey is an Ecologist at the USGS New Mexico Landscapes Field Station in northern New Mexico, where he works as a place-based ecologist, co-located with land managers.  Collin’s recent work includes a focus on climate-related forest disturbance processes, ranging from drought- and fire-induced ecosystem type conversion from forests to shrub lands or grasslands at local and regional scales. He is currently co-organizing a large collaborative climate change adaption project in the Jemez Mountains.
