Garrett Leitermann, BLM, will hold a hands-on activity workshop at the La Cueva picnic shelter pavilion. During the workshop, participants will experience how past people used ground stone tools to grind and process various plant materials and demonstrate how yucca stalks were processed to make fiber/cordage. After the workshop, he will lead a hike to La Cueva to see more native plants and discuss their traditional uses.
Parking fee $5. Please arrive early to pay at the Dripping Springs Visitor Center.
