Bring a hand lens/loupe, if you have one. If you have an extra loupe to loan to someone for the morning, please bring it (tape your name to the lanyard). One dissecting microscope will also be available.
We will try using the book “The Sunflower Family,” so bring it if you have a copy.
Finally, if you have access to a copy of Kelly Allred’s “Flora Neomexicana III: An Illustrated Identification Manual, Part 2, Dicotyledons” please bring it along. We will try running one or two Asteraceae species through a technical key.
Also, bring your lunch if you wish and hang around to ask questions and just chat; drinks will be provided.
This workshop is supplementary to the workshop on Wednesday, September 13 in the NMSU Herbarium.
